The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration deadline for July 2025 admissions. Students can now apply for most programmes until October 15, 2025. This extension applies to undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and other courses, but not certificate and semester-based programmes.

How to Apply for IGNOU ODL Programmes

Students can apply for IGNOU ODL programmes on the official website ignouiop.samarth.edu.in. They need to click on the July 2025 ODL Registration window and then on new registration. After that, they must fill in their details, upload documents, and submit the form. A Distance Education Bureau Identification (DEB ID) is needed for ODL admissions. The registration fee is Rs 2,000 and can be paid online.

Important Details for Applicants

The extension is for Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes. Certificate and semester-based courses are not included in this extension. Students must pay the fee using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking. IGNOU has asked students to check the official website often for new updates.
