KFC India has started a new program called Kshamata. It will teach writing and reading skills to their workers who cannot hear or speak. The program will run until 2026.

What is Kshamata?

Kshamata is a training program for KFC workers who are deaf or cannot speak. It will teach them how to write emails and understand written English better. The program is 50 hours long and will be done online. KFC is doing this with a group called Atypical Advantage. They want to help these workers do their jobs better and grow in their careers.

KFC's efforts for hearing-impaired staff

KFC India has been working to help deaf and speech-impaired people for some time. In 2024, they started teaching sign language to all their workers. They also have special KFC restaurants run by deaf and speech-impaired staff. KFC wants 2% of their workers to be from this group in the coming year.
