How the New System Works

The principal of government senior secondary schools will be in charge. They will oversee nearby high, middle and primary schools. This system will help with staff shortages. The nodal officer can assign teaching work to any teacher as needed. There are 14,123 government schools in Himachal Pradesh now. This includes 9,939 primary, 1,775 middle, 960 high and 1,989 senior secondary schools.

Benefits of the New System

The state has good enrollment and low dropout rates in primary schools. But small school size was a big problem. The new system will help fix this issue. It will also help make better use of teachers. The state wants to improve its ranking in the National Achievement Survey. The school complex system is a step towards this goal. It will help run all education programs and policies better. The Principal of the Government Senior Secondary School shall be the administrative head of the Complex for the purpose of day-to-day administration and implementation of all the policies, programmes, schemes, and campaigns in the Education Department.
