How the New System Works
The principal of government senior secondary schools will be in charge. They will oversee nearby high, middle and primary schools. This new system will help with staff shortages. The nodal officer can assign teaching work to any teacher as needed. There are 14,123 government schools in Himachal Pradesh now. This includes 9,939 primary, 1,775 middle, 960 high and 1,989 senior secondary schools.
Benefits of the School Complex System
The state has nearly 100 percent enrollment in primary schools. The dropout rate is very low. The new system will help address the problem of small school sizes. It will also help improve the states ranking in the National Achievement Survey. The principal will be the administrative head of the complex. They will handle daily tasks and implement education department policies and programs.
