Chief Minister Mohan Majhi chaired a high-level meeting on August 21, 2025 where this decision was made. The School and Mass Education Department officially informed the Commerce and Transport Department about the scheme on Wednesday. The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation will change bus routes to cover more schools. District Education Officers will help with mapping new bus routes.
