Key Changes in CBSE Exam Rules
CBSE says Classes 10 and 12 are now two-year programs. Students must study for two full years to take board exams. They also need 75% attendance. Internal assessment is now a must. Students who skip it will have to repeat the year. Class 10 students can take two extra subjects. Class 12 students can take one extra subject. Schools need CBSE permission for extra subjects.
Rules for Failed Students
Students who failed before can take exams as private candidates. But they must meet all rules like attendance. They cannot add new subjects as private candidates. CBSE will not declare results for students who miss internal assessment. These students will have to repeat the year. This is true even for regular students.
