In Dragon’s Dogma 2, players face many challenges, and one of the toughest monsters is Medusa. For those looking to achieve the “An Eye for an Eye” trophy, you’ll need to petrify Medusa. Here’s a straightforward guide to help you accomplish this feat.

To petrify Medusa, players must first obtain a Preserved Severed Medusa Head. This requires defeating Medusa by beheading her, securing the head, and then waiting for her to reappear in the game. Once she’s back, you can use her own head to petrify her.

Here are key steps to beheading and using Medusa’s head:

  1. To cut off Medusa’s head, climb up her body and start slashing at her head. It’s easier to do this as a Warrior, Fighter, or Thief.
  2. The head must be severed while Medusa is nearly at full health. This might require strong weapons and being around level 50.
  3. After acquiring her head, it must be stored at an Inn to preserve it. Note that only a preserved head can petrify Medusa; a decayed one won’t work.
  4. Returning the preserved head to the cave is crucial. Using a Portcrystal in the cave and a Ferrystone for transportation helps prevent the head from decaying.

Once Medusa reappears and you’re in the cave:

  1. Equip the Preserved Medusa Head.
  2. Use the “Brandish” option from your inventory.
  3. Direct the gaze of the severed head at Medusa to petrify her.

Following these steps requires effort and time but will lead to successfully petrifying Medusa and earning the trophy.
